These Terms of Service govern your use of XImageViewer and the XImageViewer website.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using XImageViewer, you agree to these terms.
1. Software License
XImageViewer is licensed, not sold.
When you purchase a license, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use XImageViewer according to the license edition you purchased.
2. Editions
XImageViewer may be offered in different editions, including:
- XImageViewer Lite
- XImageViewer Pro
Available features may differ between editions.
3. Free Trial
XImageViewer may provide a 7-day free trial.
The free trial is intended to allow users to evaluate the software before purchasing.
No credit card is required to start the application trial unless otherwise stated on the website.
We may change, limit, or discontinue trial availability in the future.
4. Lifetime License
Where a product is described as a lifetime license, this means that the purchased license does not require recurring subscription payments for that edition.
A lifetime license does not guarantee that every future major version, separately sold upgrade, optional service, cloud feature, or future product will be included forever.
5. License Restrictions
You may not:
- Resell or redistribute your license key
- Share a personal license with unauthorized users
- Circumvent or disable license verification mechanisms
- Use a license obtained through fraud, chargeback abuse, or unauthorized resale
- Reverse engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Use XImageViewer in violation of applicable law
6. Payments
Payments for XImageViewer are processed by Paddle.
Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for transactions and may handle:
- Payment processing
- Applicable sales taxes, VAT, or GST
- Billing
- Receipts
- Refunds
- Payment disputes
- Fraud prevention
7. Taxes
Applicable sales taxes, VAT, GST, or similar taxes may be calculated and handled by Paddle based on the customer's location and applicable law.
8. Refunds
Refund requests are subject to our Refund Policy, Paddle's applicable buyer terms, and mandatory consumer protection laws.
9. Software Updates
We may release:
- Bug fixes
- Performance improvements
- Compatibility updates
- Security fixes
- New features
- New major versions
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged indefinitely.
10. System Compatibility
We aim to support the Windows versions and system requirements listed on our website.
Some image formats, codecs, hardware configurations, drivers, damaged files, or third-party components may have compatibility limitations.
11. User Files
XImageViewer does not take ownership of your images or files.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files and data.
12. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, XImageViewer is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that the software will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every possible image file, codec, hardware configuration, or system environment.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses resulting from the use of, or inability to use, XImageViewer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. License Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate a license if it was:
- Obtained fraudulently
- Refunded
- Charged back
- Illegally redistributed
- Used in serious violation of these terms
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
The current version will be published on the XImageViewer website.
